Mission Statement

The Lord Jesus, head of the body here at Lawrence Avenue Church of Christ and every other congregation of His church, defined our mission almost 2000 years ago:

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everthing
I have commanded you.

Matthew 28:19-20 fully describes the mission of the Lawrence Avenue Church of Christ and we neither add to nor take away from it.

Vision Statement

The mission we are called to by Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20 can best be accomplished by emphasizing the following of His commandments:

Nurture our members and families as they grow toward maturity in Christ, all the while maintaining the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace.

Preach the good news in our own communities and throughout the world.

Minister to the physical needs of our members and the needy in our community.
